Coaching and making an impact that drives results.

Your month just closed and your results are not what is expected. The next step from management is to “get back to the basics” and coach our team.  Coaching should be enjoyable for both sides and not a task. I often see great managers coach employees but fail to connect the coaching to the employees challenges.

This is one problem that a lot of organizations have. A company will make a one size fits all approach to how a manager should coach their employees, but they are not designing their coaching for their employees unique needs.

One effective way to overcome this challenge is to gather feedback from the bottom performers as well as the top performs and design a plan from the feedback. This will help establish buy in.

Once we are done with our coaching design a plan that has a clearly seen outcome. Everyone should know the outcome. Design a 30/60/90 day plan with accountability, and consistently re-enforce with role plays and visibly measured results.
